HAMILTON, Ohio — Jury selection has begun in the trial of a man accused of fatally beating his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter in southwest Ohio.
The selection of jurors in the trial of Bradley Young started Monday in Hamilton. Young has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, involuntary manslaughter and child endangering in Kinsley Kinner’s death. Authorities say crews found Kinsley beaten and unconscious at her Madison Township home in December. She died at a hospital the next day.
Prosecutors say Young beat the child to death.
Kinsley’s mother, Rebekah Kinner, was sentenced in May to 11 years in prison. She pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, permitting child abuse and child endangering in her daughter’s death.
Kinner is expected to testify at Young’s trial.
