Rebels, Flashes finish in a tieRoncalli battled Southside rival Franklin Central to a 1-1 tie. The Rebels’ goal came from Josie Asher and was unassisted.

Warriors pick up first Mid-State win

Whiteland used a four-goal performance from Madisyn Proctor on Wednesday to defeat Martinsville, 6-0.

Also scoring a Warriors goals was Emily Williams, who also came through with four assists. Katie Evans scored with Tori Pierson contributing an assist in the win.

Goalkeeper Jenny Gonzalez helped preserve what was Whiteland’s fifth shutout of the season in improving to 6-5-1.

Roncalli shuts out Southport

Kelly Grube scored two goals in leading Roncalli to a 5-0 victory against Southport on Wednesday.

Josie Asher, Maddie Scheil and Sydney Young produced the other Rebels goals. Asher, Young and Courtney Reece were credited with assists, while goalkeeper Abby Geiner recorded the shutout.

Brown County defeats EdinburghEdinburgh lost a 3-2 decision against Brown County on Thursday.

Coltan Henderson won his match at No. 1 singles for the Lancers, 6-2, 6-4. The No. 3 singles match also went in Edinburgh’s favor with Ryan Gaston recording a 6-2, 6-0 victory.

The Lancers’ top doubles team of Carlos Pazmino and Gavin Hancock took their match to three sets but came up short by a score of 6-1, 5-7, 10-6.
