Police investigate syringes found on bus

Both police and school officials began an investigation after two syringes were found on a Clark-Pleasant school bus late last week.

Just before 9:30 a.m. Thursday, a bus driver cleaning the bus reported finding the two syringes under a seat, according to the police report.

Both syringes were empty and were in their original packaging, superintendent Patrick Spray said.

Police and school officials began investigating, including talking to the students sitting in that area of the bus, Spray said.

The students did not see or find anything on the bus, he said.

School officials are not sure where the syringes may have come from, Spray said.

But they notified parents to make them aware of what was found, he said.

Both syringes were destroyed by police.
