ALMELUND, Minn. — The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Chisago County.

Sheriff’s officials say they received a call Sunday afternoon about a suicidal male at a home in Almelund. Tactical officers from a number of jurisdictions responded to the house.

Authorities say a SWAT team member shot the man, who is being treated at a hospital in St. Paul. Sheriff’s investigators haven’t released the circumstances that prompted the SWAT officer to shoot the man.

The BCA says investigators are in the process of interviewing witnesses and will eventually turn its findings over to the Chisago County Attorney’s Office.
