CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — A man is charged with killing a woman and her 7-year-old son inside the suburban Buffalo apartment where they all lived.

The woman’s 2-year-old child was found apparently unharmed near a church.

Shane Stevenson appeared in Cheektowaga (cheek-toh-WAH’-guh) Town Court Friday on second-degree murder charges and is being held without bail.

Cheektowaga police say they found the bodies of 30-year-old Raina Voll and her son, Leo Klinger, Thursday evening while investigating the discovery of Voll’s other child in a stroller a short distance away.

Stevenson is not the father of either child. He’s due back in court next week. It’s unknown whether he has a lawyer.

Police, at a news conference, would not say how the victims died, citing the ongoing investigation.
