GREENWOOD
Barbara Jane DeNoon, 78, of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at her residence.
She was born July 4, 1938, in Indianapolis, to the late Leamon and Edna (Pennycuff) Earl.
She was married to Jimmy D. DeNoon for more than 50 years until his death in October of 2007. Barbara worked as an administrative assistant for the Indiana State board of education for 20 years.
Barbara is survived by her children, Jamie (Travis) Correll of Hamilton, Ohio, Lewis DeNoon of Greenwood, and Christopher (Crystal) DeNoon of Greenwood; siblings, Robert Earl and Sandra (Joey) Scott; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and her companion, Ted Novicki. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and son, Aaron DeNoon, his fiancée, Annette Allen, and their unborn son.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, 481 W. Main St., Greenwood. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday with Tony Brown officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
