Antiques festival showcases pioneer lifestyle

Trafalgar residents and antique dealers Teresa and Ed Waltz are hosting their sixth fall antique show on their farm this weekend.

The Waltzes will host the show “A Fall Gathering on the Homestead Antique Show” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Waltz’s focus primarily on early pioneer primitives and simple items from the 18th and 19th centuries. Dealers from four states will be set up offering a variety of goods for collectors, such as antique furniture, primitives, Americana, pottery, textiles, garden architecture and pewter. Teresa Waltz specializes in early primitive furniture in original paint and attic surface, smalls and needfuls.

The old country veranda on the farm house will serve as an outdoor café with food and plenty of seating available. The historic farm also includes a log cabin shop, old wash house and horse barn, which house more antiques for sale.

Admission and parking are free. The farm is located at 275 E. County Road 600 South, Trafalgar.
