SEAFORD, Del. — Delaware State Police say 41 school bus batteries were stolen from two bus yards in Seaford and Laurel.

The agency said in a news release that drivers arrived for work about 6 a.m. Wednesday at Lambden Bus Co. in Seaford and the Mary Bryant Inc. Bus Co. located in Laurel.

Troopers say when the buses wouldn’t start, drivers found that the batteries were missing. Polices say the batteries were taken between late Tuesday and early Wednesday.
