Two events are planned this weekend to mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
Post commanders of the New Whiteland VFW and town, police and fire officials will present a ceremony at 1 p.m. Sunday at Proctor Park.
The service will include a lighting of the candle, a gun salute and the playing of taps.
A lunch will follow the service at the New Whiteland VFW Post, 215 U.S. 31 North.
The Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery and Mausoleum Park will have tours of a memorial that notes the terrorist attacks and lives lost.
A memorial wreath will be placed and private tours of the memorial will be given at cemetery, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood.
The memorial includes items from all three terrorist attack sites.
Tours are individually guided. The grounds will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
