Daniel ‘Big Danny’ Campbell

EDINBURGH

Daniel “Big Danny” Campbell, 64 of Edinburgh, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. 

He was born Sept. 21, 1951, in Columbus. He was the son of Walter R. and Lillie (Burton) Campbell. He married Candace J. Gabbard, and she survives.

He is survived by daughter, Stacy L. Campbell of Edinburgh; a future son-in-law, Kevin Burris of Edinburgh; grandchildren, Trenton Browning and Kandyce Campbell; brothers, Charles Fritz Campbell of Edinburgh and Harold (Sherry) Griggs of Franklin; and a sister, Judy Campbell of Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Harold Daniel “Little Danny” Campbell; a daughter, Lisa Campbell; and a brother, Vannie Griggs.

He was a member of the Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church and the Sons of the American Legion, Post 233 of Edinburgh. He was formally employed at Arvin’s in Franklin as a forklift driver.

He enjoyed time with his grandchildren, his dogs, riding his Harley motorcycle, working on old cars, camping, horseback riding, and listening to George Jones.

The funeral service will be at noon Monday, conducted by Rev. Lewis Burton at Who-So-Ever-Will-Community Church in Edinburgh, with calling from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church and from 11 a.m. to service time Monday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Arrangements were entrusted to Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
