Braves drop match to Edinburgh

Edinburgh stormed back from a two-set deficit to defeat Indian Creek, 21-25, 12-25, 27-25, 25-23, 18-16.

Leading the Braves with nine kills each were Taylor Burkett and Morgan Hogue. Sara Knight had eight.

Hogue, meanwhile, also came through with 23 digs and five service aces. Indian Creek setter Malea Brownfield finished the match with 46 assists, while Tori Travers had 34 digs.

Edinburgh’s record is now 7-5.

Rebels sweep Martinsville

Roncalli downed Martinsville, 25-17, 26-14, 25-19 behind the play of Betsy Crosley and Ria Merrit.

Crosley finished with six kills, seven digs, two aces and a block. Merrit’s statistical contributions were eight kills and six digs.

Jones leads Trojans past Perry Meridian

Center Grove defeated Perry Meridian, 25-7, 25-18, 25-9 on Wednesday behind the eight kills of Emma Jones.

The win improves the Trojans record to 7-4.
