Scott Jackson Gardner, 51, of Indianapolis, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016 in Indianapolis.
Scott was born Aug. 21, 1965, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Samuel J. and Elizabeth J. (Harbaugh) Gardner.
He was employed with Community Hospital South as a cook the past two years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid reader. He loved to cook and was active on the website, “What’s On Your Plate,” where he had many friends.
Scott is survived by a sister, Angela Stoops of Greenwood and a brother, Patrick D. Murray of Lakewood, Ohio; two nieces, Meagan Murray and Trisha Murray, both of Iowa and a nephew, Devon Murray of New York and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Gardner; and a sister, Teresa J. Murray.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church at 8300 Rahke Road, Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Burial will be at a later date at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Withamsville, Ohio.
