Boys soccer

Trojans blank Warriors, 4-0

Luke Boha scored a goal and added two assists for Center Grove in its 4-0 victory against visiting Warren Central on Tuesday.

Other goals came from Jared Wilkerson, Jack Neal and Alex Cuculick. Meanwhile, Ben Derose and Camden Radecki came through with assists.

Center Grove is now 4-1-2 overall with a record of 1-1-1 against Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference opposition.

Cubs net tie at Greenfield-Central

Garrett Snyder’s goal off an assist from Sam VanderVeen gave visiting Franklin Community a 1-1 tie against Greenfield-Central.

Senior goalkeeper Austin Barnard finished with eight saves as the Grizzly Cubs now have a record of 4-1-2.

Whiteland shuts out Beech Grove

Whiteland defeated Beech Grove 8-0 as Madisyn Proctor scored four of the Warriors’ goals.

Madison Hill came through with two goals and two assists of her own. The Warriors’ other goals came from Madison Bartak and Hedda Johnsrud. Meanwhile, Tori Pierson contributed two assists in what was Whiteland’s fourth shutout victory of the season.

Bull Dogs victorious at Hillview

Columbus North shot a team score of 164 to defeat Center Grove (177) and Franklin Community (204) at Hillview Country Club.

The Bull Dogs’ Alex Munnicha scored a 37 for medalist honors.

Leading Center Grove was senior Shelby Schier with a 41. Lucy Young carded a 43, while Hannah Wilson shot 45. Kirby Swailes and Ashley Voyles each had a 48, while freshman Halle Booher finished with a 51.

For the Grizzly Cubs, Avery Auton produced a 46, with Taylor Drake’s 50 the team’s next-best score. Others for Franklin were Kristina Young (54), Alexa Wilkison (54), Kylee Burnside (58) and Rachel Pinnick (74).

Braves win meet at Timberlake

Indian Creek shot a team score of 194 in winning a three-way meet against Edinburgh and Southwestern (Shelby) at Timbergate Golf Course.

Three Braves’ players broke 50, led by Jessi Bunton’s 43 and Lauren Parsley’s 47. Sam Etter posted a score of 49. Edinburgh took second with a 215 on the strength of Vanessa McManaway’s 43 and Kenzie Hill’s 52.

Southwestern placed third with a final score of 257.

Warriors win against Bloomington North

Led by medalist Audrey Eckart’s 37, Whiteland defeated Bloomington North, 173-181, at Cascades Golf Course in Bloomington.

Bri Harwell shot 41 for the Warriors, followed by Rachel Giroud (46), Allie Watson (49), Kierra Mitchell (51) and Mason Pendleton (55).

Woodmen top Whiteland

Greenwood picked up a 3-2 victory against visiting Whiteland.

In No. 1 singles, the Woodmen’s Caleb Scott downed Jacob Gray, 6-0, 7-5. Greenwood’s Cory Ullrich defeated Warriors senior Jack O’Reilly, 6-4, 6-2, while Whiteland responded at No. 3 singles with Grant Bryant scoring a 6-3, 7-5 decision against Garrison Pelfree.

Greenwood’s No. 1 doubles unit of Alex Walsh and Jacob Rothaar won 6-2, 7-5 over the Warriors’ Adam Zietlow and Austin Taylor. Whiteland’s combination of Andrew DeLuca and Ricardo Gonzales defeated Eric Moenkhaus and Ben Sobieray, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) in No. 2 doubles.

Braves score 5-0 win against Lancers

Indian Creek defeated Edinburgh 5-0 with straight-set victories in four of the matches.

Trace Zachery, Cole Harris and Dalton Campbell won singles matches for the Braves. In doubles it was Bryce Waddell and Scott Russell prevailing at the No. 1 spot, while Cody Hart and Jeremy Lee did their part at No. 2 doubles.

Waldron wins 3-way meet

Waldron, led by individual winner Jacob James and his time of 18:49, won a three-way meet at Blue River Memorial Park.

Hauser was second with 38 points, while Edinburgh finished with an incomplete.

Girls cross-country

Lancers win over Waldron, Hauser

Led by first-place finisher Bailey Woodall, Edinburgh scored 15 points to down Waldron and Hauser at Blue River Memorial Park.

Woodall’s winning time was 25:41.
