A man was arrested after police officers said they spotted him speeding at more than 100 mph on U.S. 31 early Saturday morning.

Troy A. Mitchell, 33, 3090 U.S. 31 North, Lot 121, Franklin, was arrested on a charge of reckless driving.

A Greenwood police officer saw Mitchell doing a wheelie on a motorcycle and speeding along Worthsville Road at U.S. 31 at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. The motorcycle then headed south on U.S. 31 and reached speeds of 100 mph, with the officer trying to stop it, the report said.

The motorcycle then went west on Tracy Road, and stopped shortly after, the report said.
