To the editor:
Congratulations to the City of Franklin for adding electronic cigarette devices to its smoking ordinance. The emission from those devices is not just water vapor but contains nicotine and other substances that can harm those around it who have asthma or other respiratory problems. I support this ordinance for the veterans of Franklin and also for pregnant women and the unborn who may be affected.
This action will build on Franklin’s standing as a charming, fun and healthy place to live and visit.
