Christopher L. Hart

INDIANAPOLIS

Christopher L. Hart, 44, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, in Indianapolis.

Born in November 1971 in Franklin, Chris was raised in Whiteland and was a 1990 Whiteland Community High School graduate.

He served the U.S. Army with distinction, and upon his discharge in 1993 Chris attended Indiana University. There he double majored in computer information systems and operations management, graduating in 1997. He received his MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2007. Following graduation, he was employed as a consultant and manager with Deloitte and, later, KPMG Consulting.

Chris’s interests were wide-ranging. He was a world traveler, avid genealogical researcher, photographer, movie buff and eclectic collector.

He loved the Cincinnati Reds, IU basketball and the Indianapolis Colts. He excelled at fantasy sports, trivia, and all manner of puzzles and thinking games.

Foremost, though, Chris was a devoted husband and father who always supported his children in pursuing their interests and talents. Family was his first priority, and when he was not traveling for work he could most often be found cheering on his children from the sidelines of their various activities.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tracey (Melsheimer) Hart; children, John “Jack” Hart and Catherine “Catie” Hart; mother, Sally Jo (Wakefield) Meziere; brothers, Chase Meziere and Danny Hart; and grandparents, Phyllis and Williard Wakefield.

Memorial visitation will be 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, followed by the memorial service at 3:30 p.m.
