Gladys B. Denny Daglish Kernodle

INDIANAPOLIS

Gladys B. Denny Daglish Kernodle, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016.

She was born July 8, 1929, in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late Kelly and Zora Mae Woodall Denny.

Gladys attended Southport High School and married Robert Daglish, who preceded her in death. She then married Jay Kernodle, and he also preceded her in death.

She was employed with Toler Pharmacy for 33 years.

Gladys was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 497, where she was the very first female president.

Gladys is survived by her children, Barbara (Mike) Morris, Susan (Oscar) Guzman, Connie (Jim) Holzhausen, Judy (Ron) Albertson, Bob (Laura) Daglish and Kathy (Bill) Aliff; 25 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 497, 3011 Guion Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222.
