Farm festival to celebrate agriculture

A festival celebrating farming and agriculture will take place in Franklin this weekend.

The second annual Johnson County Farm Festival will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Johnson County fairgrounds.

The group Friends of Johnson County Agriculture host the event to promote and benefit agriculture in the area. Admission is free.

The event will include agriculture education booths, tractor and equipment demonstrations, livestock, local food vendors and several kids activities, including a pedal tractor pull sponsored by the Johnson County Young Farmers.
