Marjorie L. (Shirley) Terrell

BARGERSVILLE

Marjorie L. (Shirley) Terrell, 84, of Bargersville, went home to be with her lord on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis with her family by her side.

She was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Greenwood, to William T. and Opal Irene (Gray) Shirley.

She married Claude C. Terrell; he preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2006.

She was a 1951 graduate of Southport High School. She resided in the Indianapolis Southside and Greenwood area her entire life.

She had worked for Jim Davis Builders and Mike Terry Construction for several years. In addition she had been a funeral service associate for Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center for several years.

She was a member of the Community Church of Greenwood since 1984. She was a former member of Meridian Church of God.

Her passions were family, friends, church and music.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Inpatient Hospice of Community South Health Network for their support in her final days.

Survivors include her three daughters. Kathryn Frank of Greenwood, Lynne Waltz (Brian) of Bargersville and Carol Olson (Doug) of Akron, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Jacob Waltz (Amanda) of Greenwood, Eric Minnix (Brooke) of Speedway, Benjamin Waltz (Sarah) of Greenwood, Rachael Minnix of Indianapolis, Nathan Olson, Nicholas Olson, and Stanton Olson, all of Akron, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Kyrin York, Aubree Waltz, Emersyn Waltz and Jack Waltz; a sister Pat L. Swartz (Jack) of Greenwood; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Kenneth Shirley, sisters Mary Alice Petro and Betty Wilkerson.

Dr. Charles Lake and the Rev. Todd Weimer will conduct a service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Community Church of Greenwood, 1477 W. Main St., Greenwood. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Entombment will be at the Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery in Greenwood.

Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin is handling the arrangements.
