George Robert Cash

MORGANTOWN

George Robert Cash, age 67, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at the Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. He was a resident of Morgantown.

George was born June 22, 1949, in Franklin to the late John and Juanita (Fallis) Cash.

He was a 1968 graduate of Indian Creek High School.

He worked for Foley Hardwoods in Bargersville as a head sawyer, retiring in 2011 after 39 years of service.

George was a member of the Nineveh Christian Church and will always be remembered as a jovial man.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and went on several bear hunting trips in Canada.

George also enjoyed riding motorcycles and use to compete in dirt bike racing in the 1980’s. Since then, he became his kids and grandkids biggest dirt bike racing fan by cheering for his family on the sideline.

George liked to watch game shows and was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers.

He will be missed by his wife Sandra K. (Johnson) Cash whom he married on May 4, 2007, at the Nineveh Christian Church.

He will also be missed by his children, Travis (Amy) Cash and Dale (Joy) Cash both of Morgantown, Melissa (Kyle) Passon of Carmel; three stepchildren; eight grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and sister, Sharon Speckner of Ohio.

George was preceded in death by his parents, John and Juanita; and brother Kenny Cash.

The Rev. Tom Knight will conduct a service at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown. Friends may call from noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at First Mount Pleasant in Franklin.
