Michael James Howe, 62, of Greenwood, passed away on Friday, Aug. 12, 2016.

Mike was born Jan. 1, 1954, in Beech Grove to Louis Howe and Sally Broderick.

He attended and graduated from Center Grove High School and also attended Purdue University.

Mike married his high school sweetheart and love of his life on Nov. 2, 1973.

He retired from Allison’s Transmission as a pipe fitter after 36 years of faithful service. He then worked his dream job as the facilities director for SS. Francis and Clare Catholic Church.

Mike is preceded in death by Louis Howe and Louis “Butch” Howe.

He is survived by his loving wife, SueEllen; children, Michael “Jason” and Katy Howe, Emily and Ray Blaile, Elijah Howe and Stephanie Taylor; siblings, Judy (Denny) Tindall, Diana Prosser, Mary (Jon) Williams, Donna (Rod) Haggard, Mark (Glenda) Howe, Jean (Tim) Pavey, Christopher (Kathleen) Howe, Sally (Steve) Miller, Joseph (Laura) Howe and Martin (Sigrid) Howe; mother, Sally Hren; and grandchildren, Michael “Isaac” Howe, Hannah Howe, Eliza Howe and Audrey Howe.

Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at SS. Francis & Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 5901 Olive Branch Road, Greenwood, with a break from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Visitation will resume from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
