A Trafalgar man was seriously injured when his vehicle struck a dump truck on State Road 135, and he had to be flown to an Indianapolis hospital.

The accident happened just before 4:30 p.m. Monday on State Road 135, near County Road 450W, just outside Trafalgar.

Witnesses told police that a vehicle heading east on State Road 135 went across the center line, striking the side of a dump truck, before flipping and landing in the middle of the road, according to the accident report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
