Lois L. Smith, 86, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, surrounded by her family at her home in Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 9, 1929, in Indianapolis to the late Harry and Provie Wick, she attended Hanover College, where she met the love of her life, Thomas P. Smith.
He preceded her in death March 23, 1982.
Family was the center point of her life. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include four children, Lisa Sullivan (Kevin), Kim Mears (Bill), Jeff Smith (Debbie) and Mike Smith (Lindy); and nine grandchildren, Bryan Smith, Ashley Leigh, Dana Harbin, Kara Sullivan, Kristen Owens, Zach Sullivan, Melanie Sullivan, Zane Smith and Shea Volz.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. The celebration of life will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Washington Park East.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
