EDINBURGH
Gerald T. Burton, 71, of Edinburgh, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin.
He was born April 17, 1945, in Adair County, Kentucky. He was the son of Malcom and Velma (Cowan) Burton.
He is survived by brothers, Darrell L. (Norma) Burton and Malcom “Shorty” (Vicki) Burton, both of Edinburgh, sisters, Linda K. (Ronnie) Estes of Edinburgh and Jeanette (Wallace) Adams of Trafalgar; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was a member of Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church.
He enjoyed attending church, singing and fishing. He also enjoyed going to Applebee’s for his birthday.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church by the Rev. Homer Whited. Calling will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today at the church and from 11 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
