In the midst of summer’s sweltering heat, a traveling brass ensemble is bringing their swinging show to Greenwood to keep everyone cool.
Hot Horns, one of the Midwest’s premier ensembles, will perform at 7 p.m. today at the Greenwood United Methodist Church, 525 N. Madison Ave. The group will perform a blend of classical music mixed with jazz, Dixieland, swing and rock.
Originally known as Bay Street Brassworks, Hot Horns have won multiple awards for their music. With a skilled collection of musicians, it often employs different configurations of instrumentation to include brass, saxophone, clarinet and percussion.
Tickets for the event are $15 for adults, $10 for students and $5 for children. The cost includes dessert.
