Raymond and Shannon Poynter of Greenwood announce the engagement of their daughter, Allyson Poynter, to Shane Abel of Greenwood, son of Larry and Kathy Abel of Trafalgar.
Miss Poynter graduated from graduated from Indian Creek High School in 2014. She is studying at IUPUI for a degree in elementary education and also works at Kohl’s.
The future groom graduated from Indian Creek High School in 2010. He attends the University of Southern Indiana, majoring in business marketing. He works in operations at Interstate Warehouse.
The wedding is set for Oct. 16 at Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort on Amelia Island, Florida.
