Judy Butler

FRANKLIN

Judy Butler, 77, of Franklin, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 28, 2016, in Franklin.

She was born Aug. 3, 1938, the daughter of Richard Smith and Lucille (Reynolds) Smith.

She married her husband of 53 years Paul Butler in January 1963.

She was a member of Southside Reformed Presbyterian Church of Indianapolis.

She retired from Gray Road Baptist Church as church secretary.

She loved her work and belonged to a ministry to cancer patients called Hope in Crisis. Family and friends were Judy’s delight.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Julie Lacy.

She is survived by her husband Paul Butler; two daughters, Lisa (David) Grainge and Amy Lasko; and 11 grandchildren.

She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Southside Reformed Presbyterian Church, 6969 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46217 (corner of Meridian Street and Southport Road), officiated by Pastor Gordon Keddie.

Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
