A Franklin lab has been purchased by a larger company and will offer more services including DNA testing.
Madison Avenue Medical Laboratory, at 249 E. Jefferson St., was recently acquired by Patients Choice Laboratories.
Acquiring the Franklin lab allows the Indianapolis-based company to serve more patients and providers in the Midwest and central Indiana, according to a news release from Patients Choice Laboratories. The company has three other locations.
“The acquisition of Madison Avenue Medical Laboratory expands our footprint throughout central Indiana. We can now perform full service laboratory testing for patients, providers, employers and government entities statewide,” Brad Moss, president of Patients Choice Laboratories, said in the release.
“The purchase also allows us to augment our research capabilities in the areas of women’s health, gene-based and molecular testing.”
