WHITELAND
David Arthur Waltz, 73, of Whiteland, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016.
David was born April 27, 1943, in Franklin to Roscoe E. and Jeanette (Records) Waltz.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was self-employed as a heavy equipment operator for 31 years. He was a member of the Union of Operating Engineers.
David also was a member of Whiteland VFW, post 6978, National Rifle Association and Johnson County Antique Machinery Association.
He was a past trustee of the town of Whiteland.
Survivors include his two children, David J. (Missy) Waltz of Franklin and Don (Deb) Waltz of Whiteland; two brothers, Joe Waltz of Bargersville and Dick (Wanda) Waltz of Franklin; and brother-in-law, Hugh Dunn of Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Jeanette Waltz; a sister, Joann Dunn; and sister-in-law, Sue Waltz.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
