The sheriff’s office is investigating after a vehicle and mailboxes were struck in a Center Grove area neighborhood.
Just before midnight Wednesday night, a resident in Willow Lakes, off Stones Crossing Road west of State Road 135, reported she saw someone hit her neighbor’s car that was parked in the street, turn around and drive away.
Nearby, deputies also were called to an area off Stones Crossing Road, where multiple mailboxes were struck.
Deputies then found a man sitting by a vehicle that matched the description of the one that struck the parked car and drove away, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report.
The man declined to answer questions and asked for an attorney, the report said.
The sheriff’s office is investigating.
