FRANKLIN
Tillie Marie Cody, 77, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016, in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Franklin.
She was born on Oct. 20, 1938, in Beech Grove, to Frank O. and Martha (Smith) Acker. She was married to Edward J. Cody, Jr. for 42 years.
Tillie is survived by 10 children, Donna (Jim) Cooper of Nineveh, Denise (Greg) Malone of Brownsburg, Steve (Amanda) Cody of Noblesville, Deann Baker of Franklin, Frank Cody of Jacksonville, Florida, Jeff (Pamela) Cody of Indianapolis, Dawn (Mark) Flick of Chipley, Florida, Dan (Heather) Cody of Brownsburg, Dee Dee Agard of Franklin and Eric (Faith) Cody of Mooresville, North Carolina; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; brother, Johnny Scheible and sister, Ruth Acker and Edward J. Cody.
She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic School in Indianapolis.
Tillie was employed for several years at Pete Steffey’s Restaurant in Greenwood. She later worked and retired from Village Pantry in Franklin after many years of dedicated service.
She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Franklin. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards and Scrabble. She loved spending family time and get-togethers.
Father Steve Schaftlein will conduct a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 114 Lancelot Drive, Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
