GREENWOOD
Jerry R. Surber, 71, of Greenwood, passed away July 16, 2016.
He was born May 13, 1945, in Indianapolis, to the late Doris Surber.
He was a staff sergeant in the Vietnam War, 25th Infantry Division, and part of the American Legion.
Jerry enjoyed vintage cars, fishing and boating. He was a marksman.
Survivors include, his loving wife, Deborah; and son, Bryan Allen.
He was preceded in death by his loving cat, Sabrina.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. July 30 at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. He will be laid to rest at The Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery, with full military honors.
