EDINBURGH
Phillip Michael Burton, 64, of Edinburgh, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
He was born Sept. 1, 1951, and was the son of Wilmer and Pearl Burton.
He married Rita Ault on April 16, 1981.
He is survived by his wife; sisters Beulah (Leonard) Littlejohn, Sheila Hendrix, Esther (Dan) Stanfill, Vickie (Joey) Russell and brother Dean (Kay) Burton — all of Edinburgh, and Jeff (Melinda) Burton of Columbus.
He enjoyed NASCAR, beer and walking his dog, Brutus. He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Justin Surface, with calling graveside, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, at 10:30 a.m. today.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the family to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
