Heather Ann Gwin, 10, of Greenwood, passed away June 29, 2016, from complications of cystic fibrosis at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Heather was born June 30, 2006, in Beech Grove.
Heather loved playing in the garden and especially enjoyed picking flowers and finding bugs. She loved to sing, play on her iPad and adored her My Little Ponies.
Heather attended Southwest Elementary School, having completed the third grade.
Heather is survived by her mother, Jennifer Gwin of Greenwood; her birth mother, Ashley Leach-Jones; her maternal grandparents, Mike and Karyn Gwin of Terre Haute; and brothers, Ryan, Jonny, Elijah, Alexander, Isaiah, Jared, Chase, Isaac, Victor, Vaughn, Miguel, Ethan and Micah. She is also survived by birth sisters, Cora, Loni, Khloe and Syndy, and as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Village Bible Church, 695 E. Pushville Road, Greenwood, with luncheon to follow. Pastor Ken Daulton will officiate.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, 26345 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673.
Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., Terre Haute, was entrusted with arrangements.
