Cecil “Butch” Woodall

FRANKLIN

Cecil “Butch” Woodall, 64, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at his home in Franklin, Indiana.

Butch was born in Franklin on June 2, 1952, to Cecil and Willene (Raney) Woodall.

He graduated from Triton Central High School in 1970.

He was married to Sammie (Conner) Woodall on June 23, 1979.

Butch worked as a carpenter for Beaty Construction in Boggstown for 31 years, retiring at the end of 2010.

Butch was a member of the Carpenter’s Union Local 301.

He enjoyed fishing, canoeing, and spending time with family and friends.

Butch was always willing to help family and friends; he was one of the family’s go to handymen.

Butch will be remembered for his big heart and sense of humor, among other things.

Butch is survived by his wife, Sammie (Conner) Woodall; his children, Keith Woodall of Franklin and Irsila Caudill of Park City, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Samantha, Emily, Tyler, Eric, Aaron and Mercedez; his brothers, Gary Woodall of Franklin and Eric (Karen) Woodall of Greenwood; his sisters, JoAnne Wooten of Franklin, Sara (Kerry) Silvers of Campbellsburg, Mary (Dave) Such of Greenwood, Terri (Steve) Newbold of Franklin, Tina (Ed) Robinson of Birmingham, Alabama, Lisa (Troy) Phelps of Bargersville and Julie Woodall of Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Butch is preceded in passing by his parents, Cecil and Willene Woodall; a brother, Larry Woodall; and a granddaughter, Emily Clark.

The family of Butch Woodall wishes to thank Drs. Siddiqui and Ross and their staff at the Community Cancer Center South as well as the Kindred Hospice staff.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Ed Robinson will be officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Boggstown Cemetery.
