Police seeking suspect in convenience store robbery

Greenwood police are searching for a man they say robbed a convenience store early Monday morning.

Shortly after 2 a.m. Monday, the Village Pantry convenience store, located at 520 N. Meridian St., was robbed, according to a police report.

A man wearing a black ski mask, blue button-up shirt, camouflage shorts, black shoes, sunglasses and white gloves walked into the store and demanded money, Greenwood Police Department spokeswoman Kortney Burrello said.

The man did not have a weapon and did not make any threats, Burrello said.

The man is about 5-foot-6 with a stocky build, Burrello said. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Greenwood Police Department’s anonymous tip line at 317-865-0300.
