Enjoy a lemon shake-up at the fair for Gateway Services
Lemon shake-up fans can volunteer in several ways at a booth peddling the sweet treat at the Johnson County 4-H and Agriculture Fair.
Gateway Services, a nonprofit organization that helps people with disabilities, annually offers the drink at the fair, and the organization is asking for help with the booth.
Monetary donations can be made to sponsor booth rentals and supplies, such as the ice, lemon and sugar to make the drinks.
People can also volunteer their time to prepare the lemons for the booth in mostly two-hour shifts July 14 at First Christian Church, 101 East St., Bargersville.
Volunteers also are needed to work the booth during the run of the fair. The fair is from July 17 to 23. To volunteer or donate, call 738-5500.
