Just before 11 a.m. Thursday, a resident along Tracy Road, east of Interstate 65, called police to report a strange car in his neighbor’s driveway and a man walking around the house.

Shortly after deputies came to the home, two men walked outside, looking startled, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

After the men were arrested, deputies found the door they came out of had broken glass and had been forced open, the report said.

Perez, 5351 S. U.S. 31, Room 102, and Hypes, 3031 Hartman Drive, both were held at the Johnson County jail on $6,600 bond.
