More than a dozen mailboxes damaged

Fifteen mailboxes were damaged in a Center Grove area neighborhood.

A resident in the Wakefield West neighborhood, off State Road 37 near Bluff Road, reported all of the damage at once so he could give the report to the homeowners’ association, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

The resident reported the damage just after 7 a.m. Tuesday and said it had happened sometime the night before, the report said.

The mailboxes appeared to have been kicked or punched, the report said.

Mailboxes were damaged on Haywood, Oakhaven and Wakefield roads, the report said.

The report comes about a week after eight residents along Lamb Lake in southern Johnson County reported their mailboxes had been damaged.
