Maurice A. Barnes, 87, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Franklin United Methodist Community. He was a resident of Brown County.
He is survived by his children, Carol Barnes of Eminence and Mark Barnes of Brown County; sister, Joan Honeay of Greenwood; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine W. (Walker) Barnes.
Rev. John Parsley will conduct a funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday at Unity Baptist Church, 7361 Spearsville Road in Brown County. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery in Brown County.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
