<p>William and Betty Dawson of Greenwood are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary with a private family gathering.</p>
<p>Mr. Dawson and his wife, the former Betty Weddle, were married June 22, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri.</p>
<p>He is retired from General Motors.</p>
<p>She is retired from the Greenwood Parks Department.</p>
<p>They are the parents of Terrence Dawson, Jeff Dawson, Brian Dawson, Holly Dawson and Randy Dawson; grandparents of 11 grandchildren; and great-grandparents of five great-grandchildren.</p>
