Ethan Shepherd, a junior on the Center Grove High School boys golf team, finished tied for runner-up in the Indiana Amateur Championship.
Shepherd carded a 294 after Thursday’s fourth and final round at Elcona Country Club in Bristol. He tied for second with Keegan Bronnenburg of Muncie.
Bristol resident Matt Christensen won the tournament with a 216.
Greenwood resident Sean Rowan tied for sixth place with a 296, and former Center Grove player Austin Crowder, who now plays for IUPUI, tied for 22nd with a 306.
