Louanna May Crum

Louanna May Crum, age 78, of Greenwood, went home to Heaven on Thursday, June 16, 2016.

She was born Oct. 6, 1937, in Hettick, Illinois, to Burley O. and Frances E. (Patterson) Corder. She graduated from Northwestern High School in Palmyra, Illinois, with the class of 1955.

Louanna was an office manager for 20 years at Indiana Association of Credit Management. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, canning and spending time with the family. She was a longtime member of Bluff Creek Christian Church and was also a member of the women’s Bible study group.

Louanna loved dancing with her favorite dancing partner, Melvin A. Crum, whom she married on July 8, 1955, and he survives her along with their daughters, Melinda K. Yocum of Indianapolis and Gail Lynn (Steuart) Green of Camby; brother, Charles (Mary) Corder of Solsberry; son in-law Lanny Andrews; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cynthia Andrews; brother, Norman Corder; and sister, Sharon Ackley.

A funeral service will be at noon Monday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with the Pastor Stan Icenogle officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
