Man arrested after pursuit

Police arrested a man after they said he left the scene of a crash and led police on a short pursuit in the Center Grove area.

Daniel S. Hall, 36, 12247 N. Earls Lane, Camby, was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving.

A deputy tried to stop a vehicle that was traveling at 90 mph on Fairview Road at 9 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle passed another vehicle at a stop sign and then stopped near Shadow Road, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Another vehicle stopped and told the deputy that the truck had struck her vehicle and then left.

Hall failed field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent.

Hall told the deputy he had struck another vehicle that was waiting to turn onto Fairoaks Trace. He became nervous because he was driving someone else’s truck and turned around and left, the report said.

Hall was taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was released on $6,000 bond.
