James D. Miller

WINTER SPRINGS, Fla.

James D. Miller, 54, of Winter Springs, Florida, formerly of New Whiteland, died May 31, 2016, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 27, 1961, in Franklin, to Betty Lou Mattingly and the late Marion Hubert Miller.

He was a 1980 graduate of Whiteland Community High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He most recently worked as a medical assistant at the Cardiovascular Center in Deltona, Florida.

Jim loved God and shared that love with others wherever he was in his life.

James is survived by a son, Devon J. (Jen) Miller of Longwood, Florida; a daughter, Brandy K. (Bryan) Clemmer of Florida; a stepson, David (Emily) Richardson of Franklin; his mother, Betty Mattingly Miller of New Whiteland; four grandchildren, Zabriah, Devon, Julissa and Orlando; a brother, Michael E. (Tamara) Miller of Columbus; three sisters, Shirley Ann (Art) Martin of Franklin, Sandra Kay (Stephen) Ginsberg of New Whiteland and Deborah Jo (Garry) Christmas of Whiteland; and a half-brother, Gerald L. Miller of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Miller; a sister, Linda Sue Miller; and two half-sisters, Patricia Ann Siebenthal and Marian Lois Hickey.

A private memorial service was conducted last week in Florida.

An informal local memorial service will be conducted for friends and family, at 4:15 p.m. with visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North.
