Zombies, movies and stars — oh my!

The Artcraft Theater in Franklin will present a special screening of an ’80s cult film featuring zombies, psychos and guns.

“Night of the Comet” opened in 1984 and starred actresses Catherine Mary Stewart and Kelli Maroney, who will be at the June 16 event.

The movie tells the story of teenage sisters who wake up to find the entire planet changed around them after a comet passed by too close to the Earth.

Stewart and Maroney will provide commentary as they recall filming the movie. Fans will be treated to a Q&A, and then a screening of the film.

The event is a part of Indy PopCon and begins at 5:30 p.m.
