Tool thefts from vehicles continue

Tools and other items were stolen from at least five vehicles in Greenwood.

Four of the thefts were reported in an area off Worthsville Road and U.S. 31

Three residents in Village Crossing Apartments found that someone had rummaged through their vehicles late Sunday or early Monday. In one case, the thief or thieves stole tools from a vehicle, according to the police report.

Another theft was reported from a vehicle in the first block of Davis Drive, in the Pebble Creek neighborhood, which is across Worthsville Road from the apartments.

A fifth theft was reported from a vehicle at a business in the 100 block of East Main Street, according to the report.

Reports of thefts from vehicles has been increasing with the warmer weather, and police are reminding residents to lock their vehicle doors.
