Franklin

Criminal mischief

1800 block of N. Main Street: Police responded at 9:33 a.m. Saturday to a report of a home that was broken into. Damage to doors and walls were found. The home is vacant.

200 block of E. Madison Street: Police responded at 10:47 a.m. Sunday to a report of graffiti on an alley near a church.

Shoplifting

Walmart, 2125 U.S. 31 North: A loss prevention officer reported at 1:08 p.m. Friday that two juveniles attempted to steal about $80 worth of clothes and make-up. They were released to their parents.

Little Caesar’s Pizza, 906 U.S. 31 North: An employee reported at 9:23 p.m. Saturday that a woman came into the store and was denied free dipping sauces with a free pizza she picked up. Another woman then came into the store, grabbed dipping sauces and left the store without paying.

Thefts

1000 block of W. Jefferson Street: A woman reported at 10:46 a.m. Friday that several vehicles were gone through. A pair of sunglasses were stolen.

1800 block of Northwood Plaza: A woman reported at 11:41 a.m. Friday that someone used her debit card fraudulently.

2100 block of Galaxy Drive: A woman reported at 8:25 p.m. Friday that her bank account had a fraudulent charge to it.

Tearman Hotel, 501 U.S. 31 South: A woman reported at 1:44 p.m. Sunday that a man came into her room and stole $60.

1000 block of Creekwood Lane: A man reported at 6:36 a.m. Monday that someone entered his vehicle and stole about $20 in change.

100 block of Lover’s Lane: A man reported at 2:22 p.m. Sunday that he attempted to sell a gun to a man. The man took that gun and another gun to show a family member and never returned.

5:15 p.m. Sunday — E. Court Street and Monroe Street. William Burke, 79, Morgantown and bicyclist Brooklyn Stubblefield, 13, Franklin. Stubblefield reported knee/lower leg/foot pain.

10:24 a.m. Sunday — William Avenue and Nicole Drive.

9:40 a.m. Sunday — U.S. 31 and Adams Street.

First block of Balmoral Way: Police responded at 7:19 p.m. Sunday to a report of a car with scratches.

Thefts

Craig Park, 10 E. Smith Valley Road: A woman reported at 10:36 a.m. Sunday that her purse was missing from her vehicle.

Oaken Barrel, 50 Airport Parkway: Police responded at 3:31 p.m. Saturday to a report of theft from a vehicle.

900 block of Kings Mill Road: A man reported at 6:06 a.m. Monday that someone went through his vehicle. Check stubs and other personal paperwork was stolen.

Theft

Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, 1091 Hospital Road Franklin: A woman came to the office at 2:38 p.m. Sunday and reported that a piece of lawn equipment was missing from her property.

Burglary

4300 block of W. County Line Road, Greenwood: A man reported at 12:03 p.m. Saturday that an acquaintance kicked in the door to his home and took her belongings that were in the home.

Fraud

Johnson County Sheriff’s office, 1090 Hospital Road, Franklin: A woman went to the sheriff’s office and reported at 1:27 p.m. Sunday that someone took a newly mailed credit card and used it fraudulently.
