More cars rummaged through in Franklin

Three more Franklin residents reported their vehicles had been rummaged through, and cash and a bike were stolen.

The residents called police to report their vehicles had been gone through sometime Wednesday night or early Thursday morning in the Woodfield Village and Arbor Springs neighborhoods, off Hospital Road.

On Thursday morning, police were called to at least five homes in the neighborhoods west of U.S. 31, where residents reported their unlocked vehicles had been rummaged through.

Three more residents called police later in the day to make reports.

The residents on Story Drive and Creekwood Lane reported cash, a vehicle registration and a bike worth about $4,200 were taken, according to the reports.

Police have advised residents to lock their vehicles, even if they are parked in the driveway.
