Darcie Inez Short, 88, of Nashville, Tennessee, formerly of Greenwood passed away, Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
She was born Aug. 31, 1927, to James R. and Ola (Newman) Dodson.
Darcie was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon J. Short; son, Michael W. Short and brothers, Ermel L., Ervin Ray and Wamon Clyde.
Darcie is survived by her daughter, M. Elaine Terrell (Champ); six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, also in the funeral home.
